Fern Henrie Haycock Liddell passed away peacefully at her home on January 30, 2013 at the age of 92.
She was born December 17, 1920, in Panguitch, UT, the daughter of John Henrie and Sarah Louise Worthen. She graduated from Panguitch High School and later attended Stevens Henager College, where she graduated in 1939. In 1941, Fern married Howard Rees Haycock with whom she had three children. In addition to raising their three children she also worked part time with the Weber County school lunch program. Rees passed away from cancer in December 1976.
Fern later married and shared her life with Sidney Andrew Liddell in 1983. She became a step-mother and step-grandmother to Sid's family. Sidney passed away in December 2006.
She was a member of the Washington Terrace 6th Ward where she served in various callings over the years. Fern loved music and loved to dance. She was always the consummate lady. Fern was a wonderful woman who touched many people's lives throughout her time here. Anyone who knew her will always remember her as a person who was truly genuine and caring, and a person who never forgot their birthdays or special events. Anyone who knew her was a better person for it.
Fern is preceded in death by her three brothers, three sisters, her daughter JoAnn Haycock, and her two husbands Rees Haycock and Sidney Liddell. She is survived by her two sons, Joel Haycock and John Haycock, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a number of other relatives and close friends.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 1 pm at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah. There will be a viewing Monday evening, from 6 to 8 pm and Tuesday, 1130 am to 1230 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden, Utah.

FLORENCE - Olean Chidester Berry, 80, died June 25, 2007.
The funeral will be at the Antioch, Calif., post of Veterans of Foreign Wars, with a graveside service later in Teasdale, Utah.
Mrs. Berry was born Oct. 10, 1926 to May F. (Dastrup) and Samuel H. Chidester in Bicknell, Utah, the youngest of six children. She grew up during the Depression and war years on a small farm in southern Utah and was proud of her pioneer her. She was a member of her father's family orchestra during her early years and played at many dances. She graduated from Wayne County High School in 1944 and Snow College with a degree in music in 1946. She could play many instruments, but her favorite was the piano. She wrote to soldiers including her brother Jack.
By chance she met Orson Berry, who knew her family, in Salt Lake City, and they later married in Elko, Nev., in 1947. They moved to California and settled in Concord, living there until retirement in 1982. She worked at commercial laundrieser retiring she traveled with her husband, friends and relatives for about a year before buying a home in Florence. She loved her family, bingo, ceramics, knitting, exercising in the pool, dips in the hot tub, the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants and music. She liked to help others. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She helped to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Survivors include two sons, Steve of Concord and Marc of Antioch; a brother, Jack of Riverton, Utah; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years in 1998; a son, Samuel C. Berry, in; and a granddaughter, Chelsea D. Berry, in 1988. | Chidester, Olean (I2730)

Florice Grow, 75, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born to Alfred Dallas Labrum and Alta Florice Fuell. She graduated from Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah. She married Lynn Anderson for 17 years, and they had four children. She then married the love of her life, Richard H. Grow, on May 22, 1971, in Elko, Nevada. They lived most of their years together in Sandy, Utah, and added three children to their family. After retirement, they made their home in Idaho Falls. She was a homemaker and raised seven children. While residing in Idaho, she very quickly became known as Grandma Tootsie. She had a love for children and made it part of her daily routine to hand out tootsie rolls to young kids who came to her door. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and loving husband.

Former Ammon Farmers Dies
Horace I. Grow, former Ammon farmer who would have celebrated his 84th birthday Monday, died Friday at the home of his daughters, Mr. Hamer (Rosella) Adams in Twin Falls of causes incident to age.
Mr. Grow was born Aug. 8, 1877, at Huntsville, Utah. He farmed in the Ammon area until 1917 when he moved to Roberts, continuing his farming there until 1928 when he moved to Nampa. He served as first bishop of the Roberts LDS Ward. He mard Rosella Rounds in 1900. To this union 10 children were born.
He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter.
Survivors are his sons and daughters, H. Wesley, Lewiston; Mrs. George (Amelia)Stallings, Firth; Will C. Grow, Boise; D. Wendell Grow, San Juan Batistia, Calif.; George E. Grom(w) and Mrs. Adams, both of Twin Falls; Charles R. Grow, Glenns Fe; S. Victor Grow, Hayward, Calif.; Mrs. Lynn (Lou Dean) Boyce, Northridge, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Lee (Effie) Poulter, Ogden, Utah.
Funeral services are planned for Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the 4th LDS Ward Chapel at Nampa with burial in the Cloverdale Memorial Park at Boise.

Former City Resident Dies
Mrs. Cecilia Grow Heindel, 85, former resident of Idaho Falls and wife of Thomas Heindel died Friday at Shell Beach, Calif. The Heindels had been living in California for the past 10 years.
She was employed in Idaho Falls for many years.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Vera Umphrey, Pocatello; two sons, John Grow, Idaho Falls; Raymond Grow, Shell Beach, Calif.; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Harold Heindel whas killed in action during World War II.
Funeral services will be brought to Idaho Falls Friday morning and the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of services at Woods Chapel of the Pines Friday.
Interment will be in the Ammon Cemetery directed by the Wood Funeral Home.

Former Provoan Dies in Salt Lake
William lee Hall, 40, 798 Galena Drive, Sandy, a former Provo resident, died Friday at the Veteran's Hospital in Salt Lake City of a lingering illness.
He was born Aug. 15, 1926, in Salt Lake City, the son of Albion N. and Alice Hones Hall.
He was educated in the Salt Lake and Provo schools, graduating form Provo High in 1944.
He entered the service and spent two years with the occupational forces in Stuttgart, Germany, where he met his future wife, Hanna Lore Koener. They were married in Chicago, and after moving to Utah the marriage was solemnized in the Salt LakDS Temple.
He attended the Chicago Technology Institute and later Brigham Young University, where he studied electrical engineering.
Mr. Hall was employed by Geneva Steel, and at the time of his death was employed by the Utah State Road Department as a design engineer.
Survivors include his wife of Sandy; three sons and one daughter, Reginald Hall, Brian Hall, Timothy Hall and Candace Hall, all of Sandy; mother, Mrs. Alice Hall of Provo; three brothers and one sister, Robert A Hall of New Orleans, La.; Mark. Hall, South Gate, Cal.; Neil S. Hall of Santa Anna, Cal.; and Mrs. Robert (Lynne) Adamson of Pleasant Grove.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 9 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Carpel of Provo. Friends may call at the mortuary tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to services.
Burial will be in the East Lawn Memorial Hills with full military rites accorded by Dean Mendenhall, Provo Post 13 of the American Legion.

Former Resident Dies in Twin Falls
Twin Falls, Oct. 28 - Mrs. Rosella Rounds Grow, 68, died Wednesday morning at her home here following an extended illness. She had moved here five months ago after residing for several years in Idaho Falls and Nampa.
Mrs. Grow was born Jan. 21, 1882, in Bountiful, Utah, and married Horace L. Grow, March 7, 1900, in the LDS temple at Logan. She had resided in Idaho for 54 years.
Surviving are her husband, Horace Grow; six sons, Wesley H Grow; Lewiston; William C Grow; Boise; D. W. Grow, Oakland, Calif.; George E. Grow, Glenns Ferry and Sterl V. Grow, on a LDS mission in France; Three daughters, Mrs. Hamer Adams, Twlls; Mrs. George Stallings, Lewisville, and Lou Dean Grow, Oakland, Calif.; 31 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the LDS chapel at Nampa at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in the Cloverdale Memorial park, Boise

Frances Elizabeth Grow
Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Gibson Grow, 33, 1731 Wright Court, died at a local hospital Wednesday at 3 a.m. of pneumonia.
Mrs. Grow was born in Winter Quartersw, Utah, on February 18,. 1902, a daughter of Alex and Elizabeth Brown Gibson but had resided in Salt Lake City eight years.
Surviving are her husband, LeRoy Adams Grow; four sons, Kenneth LeRoy, William Leon, John Levier and Jerry Grow; a daughter Donna Jean Grow, all of Salt Lake City; the parents, three brothers, Howard, Wallace B. and James Gibson, all of Castlte, and five sisters, Mrs. Helen G. Smith, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Louise Davis, Helper; Mrs. Alice James, Mrs. Katherine Orton and Mrs. Pearl Drucila, Castlegate.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Belvedere L.D.S. chapel by Bishop Richard A. Brower. Friends may call at the Desert Mortuary until Saturday evening and at the family home Sunday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Buriall take place in City Cemetery.

She grew up in France where she graduated with high honors from the law school in Paris, France, during the German occupation of World War II. She and her family struggled through five years of hardships due to the war. On September 13, 1945, she married Clark A Hall who had been stationed there for more than a year with the liberating forces of the US Air force. She immigrated to the US and arrived in Salt Lake City on April 5, 1946. She was baptized the following month, and became an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She taught French for several years at the University of Utah and further continued her education at BYU where she received a Master's degree in French literature in 1972. She served in many capacities in the LDS church on a ward and stake level in Primary, Young Woman and Relief Society as a teacher, counselor, secretary and RS president. She also served as a guide on Temple Square. She served two missions in France with her dear husband, Clark - one in Paris and the other one in Ferney Votaire, France where she also taught French to the missionaries in Geneva, Switzerland.
Francoise is survived by her children Phillip Clark Hall (Rene), Kathryn Webb (Kenneth), Anne Clegg (Richard), Carolyn Chappell, 36 grandchildren and 95 great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her husband Clark A Hall, her parents, a daughter Christine Gunn (Rick) and two grand babies.
Funeral services will be held at the Holladay 2nd Ward chapel, 2065 E 4675 S., SLC on Saturday, August 8 at 11 a.m. Viewing at the Holladay 2nd Ward on Friday, August 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at 9:45-10:45 at the Holladay 2nd Ward.

Sandy - Frank Leroy Morriss, 69, died at his home in Sandy Saturday at 6 a.m. of a heart ailment.
A native of Salt Lake City, he was born June 28, 1875, a son of Joseph N. and Sarah Ann Crow Morriss. His wife Sarah J. Jenkins Morriss, died in 1929. He was a member of the L.D.S. church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Delores Berrett, Sandy; three sons, Leon Morriss, Glendale, Cal., Kenneth H. Morris, Sandy; and Derrell Morriss, Lark; a sister and five brothers, Mrs. Sam Hill, Magna, Alma Morris, Burley, Ida., Emmett and Leo. Morriss, Salt Lake City, Theodore Morriss, Long Beach, Cal., and Clarence Morriss, Ogden; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Born November 25, 1914 in Salt Lake City, son of Marion Frank and Mary Lenore Slater Merrill. Married Hazel Anderson, February 14, 1942 in Malad, Idaho.Veteran of World War II. Member of the Disabled American Veterans Honor Guard. Retired following 40 years of service from the Union Pacific Railroad.

Nellie Houston Chidester, 86, of Grand Island, Nebraska and former resident of Richfield, Utah, died March 4, 1995, at the home of her daughter in Grand Island, Nebraska.
She was born July 26, 1908, in Panguitch, Utah to James General and Lydia Maria Talbot Houston. She married Alton Parker (Perk) Chidester on February 15, 1927, in Richfield, Utah. The marriage was solemnized on June 5, 1933, in the Salt LaS Temple. He died February 3, 1968.She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Carol) Fuller, Grand Island, Neb.; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry Clark Houston, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Walter Dale Grow, age 78, died September 16, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born August 28, 1918 to Eliza Schreiber and Elliot Grow. Married Betty Cowan. She passed away in 1973. Married Phyllis Beitel, March 23, 1974 in Elko, Nevada. He was a Veteran of World War II, as a gunners mate in the Navy; lifelong memberrpenters Local 184; and was a skilled craftsman. Walt was dedicated to his family and his work.Survived by wife, Phyllis; sons, Gerald (Maryann), St. Louis, Missouri; Scott (Joan), Calif.; daughter, Jane Orwin, Salt Lake City; six grandchildren; sister, Claudine Butler, Seattle; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son, William; one brother and two sisters.
