- Former Provoan Dies in Salt Lake
William lee Hall, 40, 798 Galena Drive, Sandy, a former Provo resident, died Friday at the Veteran's Hospital in Salt Lake City of a lingering illness.
He was born Aug. 15, 1926, in Salt Lake City, the son of Albion N. and Alice Hones Hall.
He was educated in the Salt Lake and Provo schools, graduating form Provo High in 1944.
He entered the service and spent two years with the occupational forces in Stuttgart, Germany, where he met his future wife, Hanna Lore Koener. They were married in Chicago, and after moving to Utah the marriage was solemnized in the Salt LakDS Temple.
He attended the Chicago Technology Institute and later Brigham Young University, where he studied electrical engineering.
Mr. Hall was employed by Geneva Steel, and at the time of his death was employed by the Utah State Road Department as a design engineer.
Survivors include his wife of Sandy; three sons and one daughter, Reginald Hall, Brian Hall, Timothy Hall and Candace Hall, all of Sandy; mother, Mrs. Alice Hall of Provo; three brothers and one sister, Robert A Hall of New Orleans, La.; Mark. Hall, South Gate, Cal.; Neil S. Hall of Santa Anna, Cal.; and Mrs. Robert (Lynne) Adamson of Pleasant Grove.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 9 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Carpel of Provo. Friends may call at the mortuary tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to services.
Burial will be in the East Lawn Memorial Hills with full military rites accorded by Dean Mendenhall, Provo Post 13 of the American Legion.
