  	Maythel Marie Durfey, 88, our loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Salt Lake City on December 28, 2001. She was born October 12, 1913 in Peterson, Utah to Ainer Charles John and Anna Elizabeth Grow Olsen. She married Theo Wood Durfey in Evanston, Wyom-ing on August 17, 1942. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1968. Theo preceded her in death. Maythel was an active member of the LDS Church. She and her husband served a Temple Mission in the Seattle Temple and Maythel was teaching Primary at the age of 80. She enjoyed attending the temple as long as her health permitted. She was blessed with the ability to do beautiful hand work which she shared with family and friends. A former resident of Richland and Spokane, Washington as well as St. George, Utah. Her number one priority was her family and she loved spending time with her friends. She also loved the outdoors. Survivors: daughter, Maryanne Weed (Stan), Salt Lake City; son, Gary Durfey (Louise), Vancouver, Washington; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister, Marvle Robinson, Ogden, Utah. Preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers. Maythel will be missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2002, at 12 noon in the Bennion 4th Ward, 6100 So. Kamas Dr. (2600 West) where friends may call Wed. from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment and graveside services will be held Friday, January 4, 2002, in Spokane, Washington. ____________________________________________________________
