  	Irene Hill Ridd, 89, died January 17, 1998. She was born May 21, 19008 in Hunter, Utah to Samuel F. and Almena Morris Hill the oldest of seven sisters and one brother. She was no stranger to hard work, everyone in their home had their share of chores, school work, church work, and moater she participated in mutual, neighborhood parties, sleigh riding, and dancing which she loved. She married Glen Ridd February 7, 1928, he was a good dancer, and they danced and worked together for 29 years, he died June 12, 1957.She served as relief society councilor, PTA President, DUP officer, member of Flower Club, and was an avid gardener and golfer. She worked at Camp Kearns during World War II, and retired from Auerbach's as a floor supervisor in 1974. She was a people person. She started traveling during the horse and buggy days, then Model "T" Ford, then 747 jets around the world. She is survived by daughter Janice (Glen) Martin, grandchildren, Sandra M. Kinsey, Robyn M. Headrick, Cindy M. Bowden, Julie M. Hansen, Michael D. Ridd, David G. Ridd, Jodie Ridd, Eric S. Ridd, Michael Moore, and Kristine Moore, 20 great-grildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, sisters and brother, Maxine (George) Newton, LaRee Pehrson, Valoy Bagley, Gwen (Edgar) Pouillon, and Sam (Sheila) Hill. Preceded in death by husband, son, Douglas Pete Ridd, and great grandson, Brett Bytendorp. Funeral services will be Thursday Jan. 22, 1998 11 am at the Hunter 1st Ward, 3930 So. 6000 W. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 pm at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 So. Magna, and Thursday 10-10:45 am at the church. Interment: Elysianl Gardens. ____________________________________________________________
