She passed away peacefully with family by her side. Mom had spent years defeating cancer and after dad's death, she gave up the fight.as married to Robert Gene Mitchell for 62 years. Mom was loved by all who knew her, she was cheerful and loved to laugh. She had many talents such as sewing, crocheting, knitting, painting, macrame, and so on and she was great at all of them. Mom worked many years as a grocery checker but her favorite time was traveling around North America to art shows with her artistic family. Many newspapers in various states, wrote articles about them. They loved to be in their motorhome and just go from art show to art show. Mom was preceded in death by her husband Robert Gene Mitchell and her parents Glen and Florence Gardner Rowbury. She is survived by her daughter Sharol Goates and husband Doug, her son Robert Gene Mitchell Jr. and his wife Sherry. Her grandchildren Tiffany Lopuszynski and her husband Mike, Alanna Darling and her husband Hoby, James Goates and Diana, Lara Grace and her husband Ron, Sean Goates and his wife Laurie, and Gretchen Mitchell and Tim. Her great grandchildren Akira, Cyanna, Sheya Mitchell, Brittni and Mikey Lopuszynski, Sierra and Mckinzie Darling, Kiersten Goates, Ronald Russell Grace III, Mercediez Grace, Jasmine and Lexy Goates and Sarah Bracey and husband Richard. Great Great grandchhildren Riley and Kailyn Bracey. Memorial Service will be Wednesday October 19th, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Located at The Church Of JESUS CHRIST Of Latter Day Saints, 15500 Tuscola Rd., Apple Valley, CA. The family wishes to thank St Mary's Hospital and Odyssey Hospice for their special care during her last days.
