  	Iowa Grant Hall 1923 ~ 2013 Iowa Grant Hall of Pleasant Grove passed away October 14, 2013 on his 90th birthday. Iowa was born October 14, 1923 in Wellington, Utah to Henry Grant and Nina Blanche Nielsen Hall. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1942. Iowa served in the U S Navy during WWII. On May 15, 1946 he married Donna Rayola Haslam in the Manti LDS Temple. Iowa worked on a dairy farm while he attended BYU and graduated with his teaching degree and later earned his masters. Iowa taught school for 35 years at both Grovecrest and Central Elementary Schools in Pleasant Grove. One accomplishment Iowa made in education was establishing the Outdoor Education Program for the Alpine School District. He helped develop Clear Creek Camp that has since served thousands of children. Shortly after retirement, he and Donna served in the Ohio Columbus Mission. Iowa spent his life in church service. He served in several Bishoprics and served as Bishop of the Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward. Iowa also served in the Provo and Mt. Timpanogos Temples. He spent many hours in his yard and won several beautification awards and was very proud of the way his yard looked. Iowa enjoyed building and woodworking. He is survived by his seven children: Cynthia (Rudy) Poecker, Lindon; Connie (Gordon) Rammell, Magna; Catherine (Lance) Zobell, Fountain Green; Caryn (Don) Adams, Mt. Pleasant; Collette Hall, Layton; Charlene (Clay) Bass, Springville and John Hall, Pleasant Grove; 23 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna, his parents and two brothers, Jack and Jay. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Timpanogos Stake Center, 975 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may attend a viewing Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 72. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com
