  	Beth Varney Hall, 87, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully Saturday, March 1, 2014 at American Fork Hospital. She was born September 26, 1926 in Lehi to Penny and Violet Varney. Beth was raised in American Fork and graduated from ?Dear Ol? AF High? where she played the drums for graduation commencement. She married Jay Hall, a Pleasant Grove boy and lived on the farm in PG where they raised their family. Jay passed away in 2006. They were the parents of five children: Doug Hall (deceased), Linda (Doug) Parry, Pleasant Grove; Joye (Lee) Halley, Alpine; Boyd Hall, Pleasant Grove and Lisa Hall, Oakley, UT. She is survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Sherman Varney and sister-in-law, Sharon (Paul) Varney. She was a ?jewel? of a mom. The grandchildren say ?Grandma Beth is the dearest treasure?. From PTA to ward bazaars, designing and decorating a parade float or to a beautiful ball gown, Beth was creative in every sense of the word. She volunteered at the AF Hospital Pink Shop, designing flowers for many years and has generously provided floral pieces to many for all occasions. Beth was a true friend with a tender spot in her heart for each acquaintance. Her favorite place on earth was Hawaii. She visited the islands many times and would tell you it is paradise! Beth?s family will celebrate her life with a viewing held Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at the mortuary Chapel with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
