- Dr. Clark A. Hall passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, December 3, 2002. He was born June 20, 1922 in Wellington, Utah to James Arthur and Dora Thayn Hall. He married Francoise Marie-Jeanne Fouché September 13, 1945 in Dreux, France where he was stationed during World War II. Later, the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. After serving in Europe during World War II, he attended the University of Utah and entered dental school at Northwestern University. Clark practiced dentistry for 37 years in the East Millcreek area. He was a very active member of the LDS Church for his entire life. He served in numerous callings on ward and stake levels, such as Stake Young Men's President, counselor in several Bishoprics, Bishop, High Councilman, Stake Executive Secretary. He served two missions with his loving wife in the Paris, France Mission and as executive secretary in the Mediterranean Area Presidency in Thoirry, France. He was blessed with a beautiful singing voice that he shared on many special occasions. He loved being a missionary and serving the Lord. This was the joy of his life. Dad was a great example of service to his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Francoise, of 57 years, his sister Patricia ((Melvin) Christopherson, his five children Dr. Phillip (René) Hall, Kathryn (Ken) Webb, Anne (Dr. Rick) Clegg, Christine (Rick) Gunn, Carolyn (Mike) Chappell. He has 37 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings who died as infants, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7th at 11:00 a.m. at the Holladay 2nd Ward Chapel, 2065 E. 4675 S. Friends and family may call Friday December 6th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary and Saturday from 9:45-10:45 at the church prior to the services. In Lieu of flowers, friends may choose to donate to the LDS Church Missionary Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
