      Stephens and his B-17 crew were shot down over Braunschweig, Gemany during his ninth mission. Eleven months later Roy's brother Dale was killed in action in Luxembourg while serving with the 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division. Both Roy and Dale were initially interred at the American Ardennes Cemetery near Liege Belgium. Both brothers were brought home in 1948 and were
      reinterred at the Aultorest Cemetery in Ogden, Utah.
