- LANCASTER - Private services for William Floyd Hixson, 80, of High Bridge Road, formerly of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, were held at the Brown Family Farm at High Bridge.
He died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 11, 1923, in Salt Lake City, Utah, he was the son of the late James and Zada Hixson. He was an American Kennel Club licensed judge and a member of the Christian Science Church. He was the widower of Dorothy Hixson.
Survivors include two daughters, Julianne C. Brown of Lancaster and Paula Z. Gooden of Gunnison, Colo.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
