  	Joan Sharon Mortensen Grow, 76 of Kennewick, WA, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Moline, Illinois, May 10, 1935, to Marion Isabel (Pierce) and Wilbur Alwardt Bax Mortensen. Joan loved her dogs, gardens with attending birds, and cooking clubs after retiring from Battelle Northwest as a secretary. She is survived by her husband, Jesse Clyde Grow; sister, Lois Eldredge; son, Kris (& Diane) Grow; daughters, Barb Grow (& Bob Bradford) and Jessie Grow Hodges; son-in-law, Chris Vickroy; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Ss preceded in death by her daughter, Cindie Grow Vickroy, both her parents and her brothers, John and Burt Mortensen. Services will be held in her honor at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Buntin & 8th Avenue in Kennewick on Tuesday, May 31st at 10 a.m. Interment will follow later in the week in Salt Lake City, Utah, per her wishes. _____________________________________________________________

The marriage was annulled. Then Joan married Thomas Payne Hendricks and divorced him. In 1956, Joan married Jesse Clyde Grow 10 days after meeting him. Joan and Clyde were married 56 years.
