  	Col. Peterson Rites Monday Colonel Vester Peterson, 65 years of age, died in Memorial Hospital on Saturday,Oct. 1. Funeral services were held t Mortimer Chapel on Monday, Oct. 3 with interment at Riverside cemetery. Mr. Peterson had been a resident of this community for over 50 years. He was born April 9, 1901 in Huntsville, Utah to Chris and Ellen Grow Peterson. He was married to Sally Ray Vannoy in Billings, Mont. on July 25, 1942 and she preceded him in death. Peterson was a retired rancher. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Latter-day Saints Church. Bishop Elwood Chadwick officiated at the rites. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Grandquist, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Elenore Odom, Bell Gardens, Calif.; and Mrs. June Quintal, Oxnard, Calif. Pallbearers were Everett Slane, Del Drake, Charlie Russels, Harvey Rathbun, Joe McCormick and Bob Jones. Music for the funeral was provided by Mrs. Max Mortimer.
