She was born to Chester and Vadra Round on Jan. 5, 1920, in John Day. She attended school in Monument. Mrs. Leathers was the older sister of Kenneth Round and Luella Neal. She married Archie L. Leathers in 1938. They had three sons, Kenneth L. "Pete", Archie L. Jr., and Charles "Chuck" A. Leathers. Mrs. Leathers was known to many friends as "Tubby." She was "Aunt Helen" to a host of nieces and nephews and "Grandma" to seven grandchildren; and "Great-grandma" to seven great-grandchildren; and "Great-great-grandma" to a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother. Autumn Funerals of Redmond is in charge of the arrangments. (Blue Mountain Eagle newspaper, John Day, Oregon)
