- In loving memory of Reane Hunter Stallings, who passed away on Tuesday, October 16th, 2012. She was born in Cedar City on September 25, 1933, 15 minutes after her twin, Renae. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gaurdello Lunt Hunter and Mae Sullivan Hunter, her brother, Evan Gaurdello Hunter, and her granddaughter, Holly Kaye Lund.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Grow Stallings, her children, Darryl Hunter Stallings, Joneel Stallings Lund, Denise Renae Stallings Goettsche Smith, and Mark Sullivan Stallings, as well as 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Renae Hunter Holland, Sharon Jewel Hunter Walters, and Sandra Joy Hunter Barton.
Reane grew up in San Francisco and graduated from the University of California San Francisco, with her Bachelor's Degree in nursing. She met Dale at a church dance, and they were married in the Los Angeles Temple on September 4, 1956. While she was raising her children, she went on to earn her Master's Degree. She worked as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the Pomona School District in California, FHP in Utah, and the Utah State Hospital.
Reane had a beautiful singing voice. She and her sisters, two sets of twins, sang professionally as members of "The Double Image," performing for the USO and Ronald Reagan, among other dignitaries and audiences.
She enjoyed genealogy and gardening, but her greatest joy was her family. She was happiest when surrounded by loved ones. She was warm, loving, and incredibly altruistic. Her outgoing and fun-loving personality brightened the lives of many youth and young adults as she served in her church callings over the years. She especially loved sharing the gospel with young people, showing through her example that the path to happiness was to pattern one's life after Christ.
Reane will be tenderly remembered and sorely, sorely missed.
