  	Ken Grow passed away June 8, 2016 at the age of 79 near his home in Cornelius, OR. Ken was born in Twin Falls, ID on November 29, 1936 to William and Wilda Grow, he being the middle of five children. He is survived by his wife Gailyn, older brother William Grow ?Bill? of Garden City, ID and younger sister Sandra Haacke ?Soni? of Boise, ID. Ken is also survived by his three children from his first marriage; Mike (Nancy) Grow of Boise, ID, Sheri Grow of Boise, ID and Julie (Scott) Oldham of Nampa, ID. He has five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and older brother Gary and younger sister LoAnn. When Ken was a young boy his family moved to Boise, ID where he lived through his school years. After having numerous jobs including a newspaper route; delivery boy for a local store; ranch hand in Jordan Valley; milk delivery man; working for Morning Star bread; Jewel T delivery man; working in a warehouse and installing flooring; Police Officer for the Sacramento Police Department and Corrections Officer for the Idaho State Penitentiary he decided to follow in his Dad?s and Brother?s footsteps and moved to Portland, OR to be a long haul truck driver. Ken met Gailyn Petty shortly before he moved from Boise to Portland in 1974 and a couple of months after he moved she moved to be with him. They were married February 10, 1975. Ken started out his trucking career with Exley Express and shortly moved to Santry Trucking hauling Olympia Beer. In 1988 he started at Southern Cal Transport/Reser?s Fine Foods as a team driver. In 1993 Gailyn joined him as a team driver and they drove together for five and a half years before she moved into the Southern Cal Transport office and Ken retired in April 1999. He worked part time for a few years taking some short runs. Special thanks go out to Oregon Continental Home Health Care, Silver Cloud Adult Family Homes and Care Partners Hospice & Pallative. No services will be held.
