  	Iola Adams Telford passed away Aug. 5, 2008, at age 87. Her passing was peaceful, with family by her side. Iola was born June 7, 1921, in Roberts, Idaho, to John Hamer and Rosella Mae Grow Adams. She was the oldest of four children. She was young when the family moved to Twin Falls, where she attended school, graduating in 1939. After graduation, she received her beautician's license from Twin Falls Beauty College. She furthered her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Iola married Victor Virgil Telford in the Salt Lake Temple on June 30, 1941. Four children were born to this couple, Paula, Virgil Theron, Sheila and George Steven. They were divorced in 1959. Iola had a great love of life and was a very happy person. She delighted in serving other people. She loved sharing her possessions, not many visitors left empty-handed. Iola was a hard worker and raised her four children as a single mom. Iola loved the color pink, earning her the title of "The Pink Grandma." She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Iola was a lifelong member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities including ward and stake Young Women's president and ward Relief Society president. She also worked in the Seattle LDS Temple. Iola was preceded in death by her parents, Hamer and Rosella; her brother, Richard "Dick"; her daughter, Sheila Herbst; and son, George Steven. She is survived by her daughter, Paula (David) Hansen; son, Virgil; son-in-law, Brad Herbst; daughter-in-law, Nancee Carter; daughter-in-law, Nancy (Missy) Telford; sisters, Virginia Pratt and Thelma (Jack) Porter; sister-in-law, Colleen Adams; grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her "Cracker Party" friends. The family wishes to express their thanks to Cathy Lynch and her staff at Heritage Retirement Center for their excellent care. We also appreciate the care she received from Hospice Vision. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the LDS Church, 667 Harrison Blvd. in Twin Falls. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park.
