  	Gerry was born in Salt Lake City, Utah the 8th of September 1920 to William and Maud Ballard, she is the 2nd child of 4. She lived there till 1928 when her father moved the family to Los Angeles to work for the railroads. Gerry enjoyed playing sports in school and lettered in softball. She also enjoyed camping hiking and the beach growing up. After graduating from high school she attended Cosmetology school. She loved being a hairdresser. Gerry married Wesley Gordon in 1940 and moved to San Diego to work and raise their family of 4 children. She continued Camping, and loved going to Yosemite. and along the way discovered crafting with ceramics and baking. Gerry was a scout leader for many years and worked in various positions in the Mormon Church. Gerry and Wes divorced in 1966 and she went to work for the Robert Driver Insurance Company. After a few years Gerry went to work for the County Schools. During that time she met Harold Sessions and they were married in 1980. In 1985 she retired to have more time to travel the United States, visiting family and friends. Gerry also traveled to Alaska and Hawaii. Gerry is preceded in death by her parents; brother Boyd; sister Shirley; sons James and David; and granddaughter Heather. Gerry is survived by brother Robert, daughters Beverly and Kathleen, 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
