  	Samuel Slater Taken by Death Samuel Slater, 57, of 364 Dan street, formerly employed by John W. Scowcroft and Sons company, died in a local hospital last night after a short illness. Mr. Slater was born in Huntsville August 1, 1880, a son of Thomas G. and Elizabeth Burgess Slater. He had resided in Ogden his entire life. His first wife, Sadie Grow, died in Ogden during 1910 and in 1915 he married Rhoda Gibbs. Besides the widow he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ione Yearsley of Ogden; Mrs. Fay Burton of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Pearl Allen of Ogden; nine grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Thomas Slater, Mrs. Alice Rackham, and Mrs. Elizabeth Rackham, Ogden; Mrs. Minnie Farrin, Eden and Mrs. Lottie Allen, Huntsville. Services will be held Sunday at two o'clock in the L.D.S.Fifteenth ward chapel with Bishop Earl Lee conducting. Friends may call at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Ione Yearsley, 364 Dan street, after five p.m. Saturday and also Sunday until the hour of services. Interment will be at the Mt. Ogden Memorial park, with the Mt. Ogden Mortuary in charge.
