  	Funeral services for Mark Jay Schulthes, born Feb. 18, 1929 and died June 3, 2000, were held Wednesday, June 7, 2000 in the Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary with Lance Dean conducting. Mark married Minnie Hunting in 1953 and they later divorced. He is survived by his daughters, Erlene and Jayne. Rakell McKee played prelude and postlude music. Myrna Mead gave the invocation. Kristine Christianson sang "The Dance," and "There Was A Valley." Shirley Slaugh read a poem. Speakers were Niel Batty and Frances Bowen. Ben Mead offered closing remarks and gave the benediction. Pallbearers were Brandy Marie Richens, Joseph Earl Richens, Nicholas Jay Richens, Cody Lee George and Danny K. George. Full military honors were given by the American Legion with taps played by Shirley Slaugh.
