  	Milton "Cork" Hacking, age 76, life time resident of Vernal, passed away February 11, 2007 at his home with his family by his side. Cork was born August 28, 1930 to Milton and Mary Allen Hacking in Vernal. He married Frances Rae Pehacek in, NV on May 26, 1953. He latter married DeNell Johnson February 28, 1998 in Vernal. Cork owned his own plumbing and heating business, drove Truck for Hatchco, then worked for BLM until his retirement. He served in the Korean War. Cork enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and driving his stock cars. He loved his family deeply and spent all his time with them. Family always came first with him. He is survived by his wife, DeNell Hacking; children, Nita (Ken) Henline Brunner, Oklahoma City; Mike (Karen) Hacking, Vernal; Dan (Konni) Hacking, Vernal; Mary Ellen Hacking; Randy Hacking, Vernal; Angi (Danny) Hacking Norris, Green Rive; Jerry (Jamie) Hall, Vernal; Jeff (Charlene) Hall, Orem; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother, John Hacking; sisters, Dolly Shiner and Lois Gray, Vernal. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances Rae Pehacek; son, Donald Hacking; son-in-law, Jay D. Henline; brother, Bud Hacking; sister, Lea Goodman. Funeral services were Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Burial in the Vernal Memorial Park. Military honors were provided by American Legion post 11 & 124, under the direction of Thomson- Blackburn Vernal Mor. -Uintah Basin Standard -February 2007 ____________________________________________________________
