  	About 1921 Asael and Fred bought her a home in Gooding, Idaho. By this time her health was quite broken and during the fall of 1923 she suffered a partial stroke from which she never recovered. In June of 1924 we persuaded her to go to Afton, Wyoming thinking she would have better care. This was very much against her wishes for she said, "I don't want to be buried there. I want to rest beside my husband and children, Will and Elsa May, in the Hagerman Cemetery." She couldn't stand the trip and change and took a turn for the worse. Soon after coming to Afton and died July 18th, 1924 and was buried in the Afton Cemetery. We promised, that is, Fred and I, not to leave here there and we never intended to. Thinking we could move the body later. But we waited too long. When we tried to move her about 5 years later the casket and box were so decayed they thought best to let her rest where she is. There is a good marker at the grave. But I shall always regret that we didn't take her back to Idaho to rest by the ones she loved. Alice Dixon Lee Burton (1872-1963) On another history: October 8, 1979 her remains were moved to Hagerman, Idaho by Virge J Dixon, her grandson, to lay next to her husband, Harvey Dixon, her request prior to her death.
