- FARMINGTON - Elaine Yeaman Thornblad, wife of Robert V. Thornblad passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004 of pancreatic cancer at the South Davis Community Hospital in Bountiful, Utah.
She was born October 29, 1919 to Raymond Samuel and Leora Manful Yeaman in Ogden, Utah. ?Elaine and Bob were married August 8, 1952 and spent 51 wonderful years together traveling while in the Air Force and also after they both retired.
She retired from Hill Air Force Base after 29 years in civil service working as a supervisor in Civilian Personnel.
Her early years were spent in Ogden where she attended Polk School, Central Jr. High and graduated from Ogden High School.
She then attended the University of Utah where she received her degree in elementary education and her Masters degree in Psychology. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She was always a top student with straight A s through all of hers of school. She had many special friends, and always tried to keep in touch with concern for everyone's well being.
She was a very special person and will be missed by many. Elaine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a member of the Farmington Orchard Ward, where she had many loving and caring friends as has been shownhe help and concern for Elaine and her family during these trying times. We especially want to thank the Relief Society for their help. She is survived by her husband Robert, one sister (Donna Flint) of Portage, UT; one sister-in-law (Barbara Crowther) Baltimore, MD; many special nieces and nephews who thought so much of Aunt Elaine . Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Farmington Fairways Chapel, 1533 North 1075 West. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Farmington Cemetery. Request contributions be made to the Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. A special thanks is given to the SDCH Hospice (Patrice) who were always available to help Elaine and gave the utmost support during her ordeal. ??e?mail condolences to the family at llm@lindquistmortuary.com
