      Born January 24, 1913 in Panguitch, Utah to Ernest L. and Marie Worthen Hancock. Married Devona Pectol on May 14, 1935; later divorced. Married Sarah Yates Monson; she preceded him in death.Self-employed as masonry and stone contractor. Member of the LDS Church, high priest, enjoyed temple work. Served as second counselor in Cannon Ward bishopric. Served a stake mission in Phoenix, Arizona. An avid golfer.

      Survived by three daughters, Dorothy Barlow (Isaac), Vona Dee Kenney (Ray), Gloria J. Kuhn (Kent); three sons, E. Maynard "Bud" Hancock, Jr., B. Hancock Douglas Y. Hancock; 39 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Parkins and Wanda Allen; five stepchildren, 14 step grandchildren, 33 step great-grandchildren, and one step great-great-grandchild.

      Preceded in death by her brother, Carvel, and two sisters, Maida Olsen and Olga Hancock.

      Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 2, 1993, 11 a.m. at Millcreek Stake Center, 4220 South 420 East. Friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, and Tuesday, 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Millville Cemetery.
