Henrie OGDEN - Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Nellie Pendleton Henrie, 92, died Monday, November 9, 1998 at her home of kidney failure. She will be sorely missed by her family. She was born December 1, 1905 in Panguitch, Utah, a daughter of Wilford Woodruff and Lucy Underwood Pendleton. On November 1, 1929, Nellie married Ellis Worthen Henrie in Salt Lake City. Their vows were later solemnized in the St. George LDS Teple. Ellis died December 27, 1993. She was reared and educated in Panguitch, graduating from Garfield High School. She had lived in Los Angeles, California, Kanab, Utah, Las Vegas, Nevada and in Ogden for the past 64 years. Nellie was an active member of the LDS Church and held many church positions in Relief Society, Sunday School and Primary. Nellie also worked in the Name Extraction Program for the Ogden LDS Temple. She graduated from Keys and Mook Beauty School as a beautician and operated her own salon. She and her husband also owned and operated a bakery in Kanab, Utah. She later worked at Hill Air Force Base. Nellie is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Addie Hancey-Cranor, and Mrs. Farrel (Beverly) Adams, both of Ogden; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-grandson Aaron Holbrook, currently serving an LDS Mission in Australia. Sheas preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, David Ellis Hancey, four brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Bill Robbins of the Eccles Park Ward, officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. ___________________________________________________________
