  	Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away Sept. 1, 2008 after a short illness. She was born April 12, 1926 in Panguitch to Jose and Eva Garcia they later moved to Tooele where sht to school and met her lifetime sweetheart James L. Wilcox, when he was stationed at Tooele Army Depot with the US Army. They were married Aug. 1, 1942 in Tooele. After Jim's military service they traveled to many parts of the U.S. working in the construction trade. Consequently their children were born throughout the United States. Later making their home in Tooele. Opal worked for years as a waitress while raising her family and later went to work for Tooele Army Depot in 1985 and retired in 1993. Opal loved being around her children and grandchildren and her computer, they were the joy in her life. She is survived by her children: James L Wilcox, Jr (Colleen) Grantsville, Sheron LaDue (Sam) Parker, Colo., Wayne Wilcox (Patty) Albany, Ore., Don Wilcox, Boise, Idaho, Kerry Wilcox (Peggy) Tooele, and Marilyn Thompson (Terry) Grantsville.er Edith McBride, brothers J. Don Garcia (Nona), Ned Garcia (Winona) and Vince Garcia (Susan). Twenty-six grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. ____________________________________________________________ She is preceded in death by her husband James, daughter Connie, son Steve, parents and grandparents, two sisters Laura and Jo Ann, brother Keith (Chesty), and great-grandson Riley. The family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Care and Hospice for their concern and care for our mother. Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 5, with a viewing at Tate Mortuary at 10 a.m. with graveside services to follow at Tooele City Cemetery.
