      John M. Grow Also Known For Worth as Federal Trapper

      John M. Grow, L.D.S. Bishop of Middleton ward, and known also as a hunter and trapper, died Tuesday evening at six o'clock, after an illnes of two months. Mr. Grow as born in Huntsville, June 25, 1874, a son of John W. and Catherine McKay, Utah pioneers. Mr. Grow had lived in Huntsville all his life. Before becoming bishop of Middleton ward he had been Sunday School Superintendent and bishop's counselor. He completed a church mission of two and one-half years to the central states in 1900. He was high priest of Ogden stake.
      Mr. Grow had served as constable for four years and deputy sheriff for two years. He had acted as president of the Huntsville and Eden National Farm Loan association and director of the Weber county farm bureau for many years. For twelve yee acted as trapper and hunter for the United States Biological survey in Huntsville. He was an active member of the Weber County Fish and Game Protective Association. Mr. Grow was a fish commissioner from 1907 to 1910, and has been very active in this type of work.
      Mr. Grow married Amelia Wangsgard on October 16, 1895. Surviving are the widow, one son, Leonard and a daughter Wanda Grow both of Huntsville; also three grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. John Halls, Long Beach, C; David H. Grow, Cardston, Alberta, Can.; Arthur Grow, Huntsville; Lorin Grow, Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Wilmer Jensen of Huntsville.
      Funeral services will be held Sunday at two o'clock p.m. in the Huntsville chapel, with Bishop W. R. McEntire presiding. Friends may call at the Lindquist & Sons' chapel Friday afternoon and evening until nine o'clock p.m. and at the familydence in Huntsville Saturday and also on Sunday until time of service. Interment will be made in the Huntsville cemetery.
