    • Lydia Ann Ricks, 96, of Nampa, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at a Nampa care center.
      Lydia was born on May 12, 1913, in Hunter, Utah to Alma and Sarah Armstrong Morriss. She married James Clarence Ricks on June 21, 1930. Their marriage was solemnized at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on Aug. 13, 1943. She was an avid readerlso enjoyed fishing, crafts, and crocheting afghans for her family and friends. She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
      Lydia is survived by four daughters, Lois A. Beesley and Mary Hennis (wife of Walter Hennis) of Nampa, Donna Diehl of Boise, and Elaine Oakley of Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother, William Leroy (and wife Lily Morriss) of Boise; one sister,e Wuelfken of Boise; 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Vernon Ricks, two brothers, three sisters, and several grandchildren.
      A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 15th Ward, 2212 E. Amity Ave. in Nampa. A viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., prior to the service on Saturday at the churcterment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial.
