  	Sterling K. Hixson Bountiful - Sterling K. Hixson, age 84, passed away at his home in Bountiful on Wednesday, September 10, 1997. He was born April 12, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Vantyle Mack and Mary Edith King Hixson, married Ellen Ferris, September 21, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Sterling was a member and past president of the Grace Idaho Lion Club, past deputy district governor of the Idaho Lions Club and currently a member of the Salt Lake City Lions Club. He served two LDS missions to the Netherlands from 1933-1936d returned to serve there with his wife from 1985-1987. He served faithfully in many church callings including Ward Clerk to four bishops. He retired as Chief dispatcher of Utah Power & Light after 40 years of service. Survived by his wife, Ellen, children, Richard Sterling Hixson (Luan); Judith Ellen Hixson Kueper (Michael); Robert Lee Hixson (Shara); and Joan Hixson Tibbits (Alan); 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his pare; stepmother; one sister; three brothers. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 13, 1997 at 12 p.m. at the Bountiful 28th Ward chapel, 2285 S. 200 W. Freinds may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 265 N. Main and Saturday morning from 10:30-15 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
