- Orem Toddler Crushed Under Wheels of Truck
Orem - Crushed beneath the dual wheels of a truck, Mark B. Hall, 21/2-year-old done of Mrs. and Mrs. Mark F. Hall, 636 E. 18th S., Orem was instantly killed about 6:30 p.m. Friday on U.S. 91 at the top of the dugway hill in Orem.
An eyewitness told police he saw the little boy dart from the east side of the road infront of one car which barely missed him, and into the side of the southbound truck. the child was crushed beneath the first pair of dual wheels.
Driver of the truck was Harvey Edgel Draper, 32, Ephraim. He was alone in the vehicle. He was not held and no charges were filed
Investigating the accident were Murvel Walker of the Orem Police, Lawrence Clark of the Highway Patrol and Durrant of the sheriff's office.
The Hall boy was born in Payson Dec. 26, 1953. He is survived by his parents, Mark Finlay and Clara Jean Robinson Hall and two brothers, Eric K. and Vincent Clegg. Grandparents who survive are Mr, and Mrs. A.N. Hall of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Eer Kay Robinson, Mapleton.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Berg Mortuary drawing room under direction of Bishop Laird Billings of Orem 12th Ward. Friends of the family may call Monday prior to the services. Interment will be in the East Lawn Memorl Gardens.
