  	1949 -2012 A.T. Smurthwaite passed away peacefully after his 2 year battle with cancer at the age of 63, on August 8th, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 11, 1949 to Verla and the late Dr. Alfred T. Smurthwaite Jr. A.T. was the oldest of three sons and spent his whole life in Utah, where he graduated from Murray High School. He married the love of his life Linda J. Smurthwaite in 1980 and raised two boys. He led a dedicated life of hard work and service to his family, country and community. He retired and loved his job and friends from Western/Delta Airlines. A.T. loved playing golf, traveling, being a grandpa, and most of all attending sporting events and Broadway musicals all over the world. He is survived by his two sons Bill and Chris, his two brothers Lex and Dan, and his two small grandchildren, Andon and Trevin. He will be missed by his friends and family. A.T.?s family would like to thank the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Center. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am on August 14th, 2012, at Larkin Funeral Home on 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. A ceremony will follow at the Salt Lake Cemetery.
