  Married: A card in possession of Carol Bailey reads: Mrs. Mary Grow No. 343 Fountain Street, Roxborough, announces the betrothal of her daughter Hannah S. to Charles A. Grow July Fourth, Nineteen Hundred and Eight. The marriage license (No. 230760) reads, "I Geo. M. Brookead hereby certify that on the 14th day of October one thousand nine hundred and eight at Philadelphia, Charles A. Grow and Hannah S. Grow were by me United in Marriage in accordance with License issued by the Clerk of the Orphans Court of Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania numbered 230760. Signed Geo. M. Brookhead, Minister of the Gospel."A booklet (color, ornamented with silver glitter) titled "Wedding Chimes" indicates that the wedding took place at 343 Fountain St., Roxborough and lists Charles as being of West Manayunk and Hannah as being of Roxborough.  Witnesses to the wedding who signed the book included Richard Searly, Irene Stopford, John G. Smotlen, Bella Janson, and two other signatures no longer legible.
