Be it remembered that I John Righter of Roxborough township in the Count of Philadelphia Ferryman being weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be rendered to Almighty God for the same and all other his mercys and favours bestowed upon me being mindful of my mortality and willing to settle my worldly affairs in a just manner do make and declare this to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all others. First my Will is that all my Just debts and funeral expences shall be paid by my Executors herein after named. Secondly I give and bequeath the sum of fifteen pounds Current Specie of Pennsylvania for and towards building a Baptist Meeting house in the township of Roxborough it being exclusive of ten pounds by me already subscribed thereto I likewise give and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Esther Righter all he late Mothers wearing Apparel together with sundry articles of Plate and Mahogany household furniture which I got at our intermarriage I further give devise and bequeath to my said beloved daughter Esther all the rest and residue of my Estate what kind soever it may be to hold to her my beloved daughter her heirs and assigns forever. But my Will is that in Case she should not attain to the usual age of inheriting the said Estate or die without Legal Issue that my Executors herein after named or the Survivor of them shall as soon as conveniently they can dispose of all my said real Estate and the moneys therefrom arising together with the Residuary monies belonging to my estate shall be equally divided share and share alike between the legitimate children of my brother Peter Righter and of my Sister Mary, hannah, Sarah and Margaret but in case any of my said sisters or my brother Peter should have any Legetimate Children born between the date of this my last Will and Testament and the time that the aforesaid division should take place then such Child to have an equal share with its brothers and sisters or cousins and further in case any of my said nephews or nieces who mat hereby be entitled to a share of my Estate should die before such a division should be made then their share or part to be equally divided amongst their surviving cousins the children of my aforesaid brother or sisters and further considering the infant state of my beloved daughter Esther and the uncertainty into whose hands the care of her and her children may fall and reposing a special trust in the fidelity and Integrity of my friends Nathan Levering and Algernon Roberts, do hereby nominate constitute and appoint them and the survivor of them to be the sole guardians of the person and estate of my said beloved Daughter with all the powers and rights in any wise appertaining to Testamentary Guardian and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my aforesaid friends Nathan Levering and Algernon Roberts Executors of this my last Will and Testament. And I do hereby empower them or the survivor of them in case of the decease of my Daughter Esther under age or without Legal Issue to dispose of my real estate at publick sale and the same as fully and Legally to convey as I in my life time could have done and the monies therefrom arising together with the residuary monies of my Estate to divide as in here in before directed and to do all other things concerning my estate and the Education maintenance and bringing up of my beloved Daughter that faithful and Honrst Guardians or Executors ought to do In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety Joh Righter Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named Testator to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request have hereunto set our hand as Evidence Josiah Dickinson, Matthew Doyle Jos: Dickinson
