Russell H. Lentz

HALIFAX - Russell H. Lentz, 91, of 644 Wolf Hole Road, died on Sunday morning, at the Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.

He was born in Halifax on July 27, 1911, the son of the late Sam and Francis (Baddorf) Lentz. He was the widower of Gladys V. (Miller) Lentz.

He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Harrisburg; was a member of Miller's Church, Halifax, and Straw's Sunday School, Halifax. Russell enjoyed fishing and eating out at restaurants.

He is survived by a daughter, Jean M. Wise of Halifax; a sister, Mary Laudenslager of Halifax; a grandson, David E. Wise of Halifax; a granddaughter, Kim A. Woland of Elizabethville; and 5 great-grandchildren, Katherine, Megan, Shelby, Daniel and Sherri. He was preceded in death by a brother, Galen Lentz.

Services will be held at Hoover Funeral Home, Inc., Elizabethville, on Thursday, May 8th at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ray Hackett will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Enders. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 10-11 a.m.
