Ray served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for Utah Power & Light as a trouble- shooter for 37 years until his retirement in 1983. Ray was a member of the LDS church. He raised and showed Appaloosa horses winning many award and trophies. He served as President, Vice President, and Director of the Utah Appaloosa Horse Club. Ray enjoyed riding horses, watching Jazz games, BYU Football, and PBR. Bull riding. He has touched many lives with his kindness and love, and he had a way of making everyone he met smile and laugh with his funny one liners. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; son, Terry (Pat) of Bennion; daughters, Raeann Grow of Wellington, CO, Roxanne Davies (Kelly) of South Jordan; four grandchildren; Ed Grow, Travis Grow, Sheridan Davies, KC Davies; five great grandchildren, Kevin Grow, Tyler Grow, Taylor Grow, Lacie Grow, Zane Overall; two god-children, Travis and Tiffany Eskleson; sisters, Marie Clark of Salt Lake, Etta West of Pocatello, ID, Verla Smurthwaite of St. George; brother, Vernon Grow of Magna; and many nieces and nephews and many good friends. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, sister Nina Green, grandson Rodney Grow, and his beloved horse EZ Ace. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. at Jenkins- Soffe South Valley Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S). Friends may call Monday, October 28, 2002 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, from 12-12:50 p.m. Interment will be in the Redwood Memorial.
