Dear Aunt Hattie:
I was glad to hear from you once more. I thought that I had better hurry and answer it while I wasn’t busy at work, as I don’t find much time at home.
I have my housecleaning half done. I am going home tonight and finish painting. I have one bed room and the front room painted and everything moved back in, but I still have Lota’s room to paint and the bathroom and kitchen to wash down. I think that I can finish this week. Alt left this morning for Colorado to go down the Yampa River, so I can work early and late.
He wants to practice rowing a boat before he leaves for his vacation to go down the Grand Canyon in Arizona. They are planning a quite a trip from Lees Ferry to the Boulder Dam down the Colorado. They are going to take a movie man with them. And they will broadcast over the radio every night for fifteen minutes. If everything goes as they expect it to they will get a quite a sum of money from the trip as well as having a vacation. There are Alt. his brother, his brother in law, his cousin, Dr. Fraizer from Bingham, A fellow from Lark, Clyde Eddie, and a couple of movie men going to make the trip. They are leaving some time in July.
Ma is getting a little better. The rest of the family are all quite well.
I guess Lorna will be home before long now.
I haven’t been to see Aunt Phoebe, but they say that some days she feels quite well for about three weeks and then she has a sick spell and can’t keep anything on her stomach.
Lota is getting so big that I can hardly believe it. She looks all of four years old.
Well, I don’t know anything else to write so must close for to-night.
Love,
Jen
