Dear Loved Ones,

I will write a few lines in answer to grandma’s letter. I have been so busy I haven’t had a chance to write before. I have been cleaning house and am about half done. I wish I were close enough that I could come and help Aunt Hattie do her cleaning. We have been having freezing weather until a few day ago it has been as warm as summer. We are all well and hope this finds you the same. Aunt Hattie I must not forget to tell you about the watches Mame got Alice’s is allright yet but Chloe’s has been to the jeweler twice already. You wanted me to tell you how to mix your salve I will write it here or I will mix it when I come out again I am coming this summer or next fall the first chance I get. Melt your Vaseline and white wax then put your menthol in and let it dissolve then remove from the stove and let it get cool, not cold, and then put in the oil and put your lid on and it is done. Ma has got her incubator set, it will come off Wednesday News is scarce and it is after ten o’clock so I will close for this time hoping to hear from you soon,

Your loving granddau.

Jane

P.S. Uncle Joseph went to the shearing Corrill this morning & Uncle John is going in the morning.
