He was a wheelwright. 21 June 1787, he and his wife Rebecca sold his share of his father's estate for 150 pounds to David Mircle (Markle) of Roxborough Township. George was then of Brandywine Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware.[Deed Book D-19, 220]
