Funeral Services Over Remains of Myron Hacking.
The funeral services of Myron Hacking, who died in the Latter-Day Saints Hospital at Salt Lake City last Wednesday morning with influenza, were held on the lawn at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John S. Hacking, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. Lester Bingham had charge of the services. A quartet composed of the following members, B. A. Critchlow, Thomas Bingham, Mrs. Claire Hacking and Rosalin Jones sang "I Have Read of a Beautiful City," and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."
The speakers were Elder John Davis and President Don B. Colton. During the letter of consolation he read a beautiful letter of consolation written by R. S. Collett to Myron's mother.
B. A. Critchlow sang, "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go Dear Lord," and Joseph P. Hacking offered the benediction.
The remains were interred in the Maeser Cemetery where James Hacking offered the dedicatory prayer. The grave was a solid mass of beautiful flowers.
The sympathy of the entire community goes out to his grief stricken wife, mother and father and brothers and sisters.
The "flu" seems to be under control in most parts of the Basin. However new cases are reported in Naples, Dragon and several surrounding towns. There are but three cases at present in the Vernal Hospital, those being Earl Bridges, L. F. Reynolds and Grant Hall. Each are improving.
