Esther "Hester" Righter, daughter of No. 10 John and eleanor (Bankson) Righter, was born in 1777. She married the Rev. Horatio Gates Jones, of Chester County, Pennsylvania, 3 Sept 1801. He was founder and pastor of the Lower Merion Baptist Church, but lived after his marriage in the Righter house at the ferry. (Jones, Levering Family, 61). Esther died 29 December 1808, and was buried in the old Roxborough Burial Ground, near her father. Her gravestone is badly worn and almost completely illegible. The Rev. Horatio Gates Jones died 12 December 1853, and eas buried in Leverington Cemetery, Roxborough, with his second wife, Deborah Levering Jones.
The children of Red. Horatio Gates and Esther Righter Jones were:
John Righter Jones - He was born in 1803. He was a member of the Philadephia bar, 1836 to 1847, and a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas. He fell in battle near New Bern, North Carolina, 23 May 1863. He was Colonel of the 58th Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers. "An accomplished Scholar, Uan Upright Judge, A brave Commander. A true Patriot, And a Sincere Crhistia," says the inscription on his monument in Leverington Cemetery, Roxborough. He married Anne E. Clay, daughter of the Hon. Joseph Clay. She was born 26 July 1810 and died 26 August 1872. No attempt was made to trace descendants. (See his individual record for more information)

These 3 children were baptized members of the Lower Merion Baptist Church, where their father was pastor. They were named with their father in the deed of sale of the tract of land John and Peter Righter had owned in Lower Merion.
