At 7:15 a.m. on February 6th, one of Gods Earthly Angels was summoned from this mortal sphere to a higher calling.

Dorothy Evelyn Jackson Stevens was born May 26, 1919 in Salt Lake City to Reginald Courier and Evelyn Morris Jackson. She was a graduate of South High School, an usher at Salt Lake Rialto Theater, A&W carhop and a former ZCMI fashion model. She met the love of her life, Charles Edward Stevens, and was married in Inglewood, California on December 17, 1937. They shared 65 wonderful years together. From 1948 to 1953 she served as an Occupational Therapist at the Cushing Veterans Hospital in Framingham, Massachusetts. She used these talents her entire adult life to foster a love of art and creative thinking in children. She was a fifteen-year teacher of the children's "Creative Time" class at the Cottonwood Presbyterian Church in Salt Lake City.

She was preceded to our Father in Heaven by her parents Reginald and Evelyn, and brother, Reginald "Bud" Jackson. She is survived by her husband, Charles Edward Stevens; her children, Charles Edward Stevens III (Karen) of Hilo, Hawaii, and Dorothy Lee Stevens McLean (Brock) of Murray, Utah; her grandchildren Brandi Tamblyn, Morgan Stevens, Callie Morgan, Stephanie Singleton, Cara Potter-Burnell (Kris), Tyler Stevens, Shannon McLean, and Ryan McLean; great grandchildren, Jacob Charles Yount, Jack Stevens-Wolf, and Makenna Fay Stevens. Also survived by her sister Mimi Nelson, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and her extended Cottonwood Presbyterian Church Family.

Services will be held Monday, February 10, 2003 at 12:00 noon at the Cottonwood Presbyterian Church, 1580 East Vine Street. Viewing at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at the Murray City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Dorothy's name to the Shriners Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
