Anthony Righter son of John and Hannah (Tunis) righter, was a millwright of Lower Merion, Later Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, Pennyslvania. He married Elizabeth Taylor daughter of Isaac and Catharine Llewellyn Taylor of Lower Merion (Will Book S, 208 #196 1782; will of Isaac Taylor; Montgomery County Will #6680; will of Catharine Taylor; Montgomery County Miscellaneous Book 3, 10) On 13 June 1783, Anthony Righter with "a birthright among the people called Quakers," was disowned for marrying out of meeting. He was also said to neglect attendance at meeting and to have paid fines in lieu of personal military service. (FHL, Minutes of Radnor MM, 1772-1782, 245, 257) His sons Joseph and John were mentioned in documents relating to his rights in his father's estate.
